INTRODUCTION


The TACITE code is an industrial code which is intended to simulate transient multiphase flows of hydrocarbon mixtures in pipelines networks (steady states as well as transient flows).
Its development results from the collaboration between  IFP (Institut Français du Pétrole), TOTAL and ELF with the assistance of the "Institut de Mécanique des Fluides de Toulouse" (IMFT) for the physical modelling.

TACITE 4.099 simulates all configurations of transient two-phase flows , dispersed, stratified or intermittent configurations.Hydrodynamics transients as well as thermal transients can be performed with this version.

A simplified composition with N(2<=N<=12) pseudo-components is used to described the fluid, and the model tracks this simplified composition in time ans space.

Our aim about this study is to analyse results obtained by TACITE and to verify their consistency.
We studied two pipe applications in order to be able to compare with real data.
 

We had to improve manual's user , with these news examples and to correct it make it more simple and understandable.
