INTRODUCTION

   SIMView is a fully graphical and interactive Pre -Post processing environment for reservoir simulators.
    SIMView integrates most of the features required for achieving a reservoir simulation, and offers the following features:

   Pre-Processor:
               ° Sophisticated grid builder for refined cartesian grids.
               ° Sophisticated graphical tools for 2D and 3D visualization of the refined grid systems

    Post-Processor:
              ° Sophisticated graphical tools for 2D and 3D visualization of the refined grid systems
              ° Sophisticated graphical tools for Production Data analysis.
              ° Batch capabilities. Plots can be automatically drawn from a template, at the end of each            simulation run.
              ° WYSIWYG plots
              ° Postscript outputs

ATHOS resolve the follwing equations( DARCY equations):

where V1 is the velocity of the phase 1 and V2 the velocity of the phase 2, and K permeability of the field.

GRID

   The aim of this MCIP is  to simulate a reservoir in a porous field. initially the field is full of
oil. We inject water in a cell and we recover the production of oil in another cell.

ATHOS RUN

  The grid is created under SIMView, it is thus necessary to export the data from SIMView to ATHOS, by creating ATHOS keywords. then  the options of execution and datafile are chosen in Run ATHOS .

   Once the execution is made, we export the data and the results of ATHOS to SIMView.

 But we always face error messages.










We believed that the errors came from our case, this is why we tried to launch an already existing case, and we received always the same error message .

CONCLUSION

 The use of software ATHOS is complex, because the graphic interface of SIMView is not easy to use like FLUENT, the manual help is not sufficient to use correctly the software .
We had problems of installation, and we took a lot of time to install the base " demoDB ", and we also had the problem of execution of ATHOS, because we didn't find the origine of error,  so we couldn't  observe the results.
