Exemple on an Airfoil

To see isolines of Mach Number :
Select QUANTITY /FIELD DATA/MACH NUMBER
Select REPRESENTATION/ISOLINE/LOCAL ISOLINE
click with the mouse

To see a range of Mach Number :
Select QUANTITY /FIELD DATA/MACH NUMBER
Select REPRESENTATION/COLOUR CONTOUR/SMOOTH THRESHOLD
Select a range (here 0.9, 1.1) with the mouse

To see velocity vectors along a section :
Select QUANTITY /FIELD DATA/VELOCITY
Select REPRESENTATION/SECTION
Draw a line with the mouse with the mouse
Select REPRESENTATION/VECTOR SIZE to reduce vectors

For the graphs :

Select QUANTITY /FIELD DATA/PRESSURE
Select REPRESENTATION/CARTESIAN PLOT/ALONG SECTION and select a section with the wouth
or Select REPRESENTATION/CARTESIAN PLOT/ALONG BOUNDARY to see effects on wing
Select UPDATE/PLOT/FUNCTION OF X

Select DISPLAY/TILE VIEW to see it better on aera

Select VIEW/OPEN CARTESIAN to have a new window

To see vectors on grid :
Select QUANTITY /FIELD DATA/VELOCITY
select VECTOR FIELD
press <g> to see the grid

To see vectors on a surface :
Select QUANTITY /FIELD DATA/VELOCITY

2D :
Select GEOMETRY/SURFACE/SELECT FROM VIEW

3D :
Place the visualization (by clicking on Z Pushbutton for exemple) for 3D project
Select GEOMETRY/SURFACE/CREATE CUTTING PLANE

press <g> to see the grid

You can create macros :
Select FILE/MACRO/RECORD and turn it on
Select FILE/OPEN/PROJECT
choose your project and make any visualisation you want
Select FILE/MACRO/RECORD and turn it off
Select FILE/MACRO/SAVE
This kind of macro if you do the same treatment on each, because if you reload the micro on another computation it does the same visualization.

You can also create an animation on 3D project by automatically moving the surface of visualition :
Select QUANTITY /FIELD DATA/STATIC PRESSURE
Select GEOMETRY/animations/surface I, J, K

Conclusion  of CFView :

Main difference with for exemple FLUENT is the fact that first you choose yhe quantity you want to visualize and after you choose how you want to visualize it.
CFView he's less intuitive than FLUENT interface, but after a short period it's easier and quicker. Graphs editor is very easy to use far from FLUENT one.
