This project has enabled us to initiate ourselves into the 2D free surface flow solver Telemac.
We managed to find a solution to the given problem, by increasing the water flow rate in the canal from 2m3/s to 15 m3/s. We were careful with not taking too much water in the Vienne, in order to maintain the good flow rate required by the power plant. Moreover, we tried not to impose too high a flow rate in the canal in order to enable the fishes to swim up the canal.
Finally, a good equilibrium has been found between environment and economy.
