INTRODUCTION







The purpose of this study is to compute transonic flow around a supercritical airfoil : the Whitcomb. The Whitcomb is the first supercritical airfoil created, and it allowed an important breakthrough of aerodynamic and specially for the high speed flight.
For this study we tryed to use the commercial code fluent in order to test its possibility for compressible flow. We use a 2D model as to study this airfoil profil.
