The geometry of the problem consist on a horizontal channel with a hump in at mid length.

The cross section of the channel is rectangular with 20.5 m long and 2 m wide. the hump has a height of 0.2 m and has a parabolic shape.

The channel is delimited with lateral walls with can have a various shear-stress. There are ttwo open boundaries, the outflow and the inflow. in both sides different boundary conditions can be imposed depending on the flow regim.
