This workshop allows us to constate that FLUENT is not able to realise
a computation, which finality is to calculate a change of phase composed
of ice and liquid water. However, in the manuel of FLUENT, it is said to
be possible to realise computation involving solids and liquids. The problem
in our cases may also come from our lack of knowledge about the ice behavior.
Indeed, FLUENT is using two caracteristic temperature to describe the material
(solidus and liquidus temperatures), but we put only one temperature, the
fusion temperature, for the both.
To conclude, it appears to us two ways to calculate a change of phase, with FLUENTS. The first is to learn more about ice, and the second is to wait for FLUENT 6.
