Finally, assuming that the long waves hypothesis is valid, we characterized the sloshing in the tank through different parameters which are :

Plus, we also made sure that the compartmentalized solution really helps to reduce the sloshing in the tank.

Then, after making sure that the compartmentalized tank solution helps to reduce the sloshing, we tested it on a simulation of a complete flight. Indeed, we simulated all the phases of a water bomber flight : take off acceleration phase, climbing phase, constant velocity phase (plane approaching the release zone). This last simulation showed that, just before releasing, the sloshing is stopped in the tank, as expected.

Furthermore, it was, from several points of view, an enriching study. Indeed, the complexity and diversity of this industrial project had several interests. First of all, new functionnalities of the CFD-Software Fluent were mastered. This project also helped developing communicational and organizational skills. Finally, it represented the opportunity to carry out a project in an imposed period of time, respecting expectations.
