Optimization of a wind farm with StarCCM+

The project is divided in two parts with two different objectives :

  • simulate an existing wind farm and evaluate its global performances. The results are compared to experimental data. (Erwan is in charge of this part)


  • determine the ideal position of a sensor on the nacelle to get an accurate value for the incoming velocity. (Hamza will be in charge)


StarCCM+ is the CFD software used in both cases.
