Fluent: Particle Impact Trap System
-
Person in charge: P. Schmitz
-
Objective :
-
The aim of this task is to determine buoyant particle trajectories in a
confined turbulent flow using Fluent. The example is the turbulent flow
in a particle impact trap system used in gas/particles separation processes.
Different geometries and particles will be considered.
-
Working plan :
-
PITS.1 : Achievement of the meshwork of the system
-
PITS.2 : Running of the turbulent flow in the system
-
PITS.3 : Computing of the trajectories of particles lauched at the
entrance of the system
-
PITS.4 : Study of different geometries and particles
