Star CD: Air Flow over an Obstacle
-
Person in charge: A. Stoukov
-
Objective :
-
The aim of this task is to learn the use of Star CD code and to test the
ability of this code to solve a
-
steady, two-dimensional flow over an obstacle mounted at the bottom wall
of a two-dimensional channel.
-
This case is based on an experimental investigation conducted by the Danish
Maritime Institute and the experimental data can be compared with the CFD
predictions.
-
Working plan :
-
SCFO.1 : Modelling using base case mesh
-
SCFO.2 : Mesh refinement with 2-layer model
-
SCFO.3 : Solution-adapted mesh refinement
-
SCFO.4 : Writing the report
